I wrote up my requirements for the ideal PDA and got a bunch of suggestions.

The best so far seems to be the Treo 180. It’s got a reasonably sized screen, a keyboard, runs PalmOS, works with T-Mobile’s GPRS, and functions as a cell phone.

It comes with a web browser, has at least one IMAP client (MultiMail Pro), and has an SSH client written by Ian Goldberg. You can write third-party apps and you can run Pippy, a Python interpreter on it.

Best of all, if you order before January 31, it’s only $99 with a one-year cell-phone contract and 121 days of Internet service.

Other suggestions: Sharp Zaurus, Samsung i330, P800, Kyocera 7100.
