This election is down to the wire. If you have some extra money lying around and a political inclination, I have a humble suggestion as to where you might spend it.
Brad Carson is running as a Democrat in an extremely tight race in Oklahoma. A race like his could make the difference on whether the Democrats take back the Senate. But not only that, but Brad Carson is a member of the newly formed IPac and said, unprompted, that he was a member of the Lessig school of intellectual property.
You can donate to Brad Carson today.
Taking back the House is, incredibly, also within reach. You can help by donating tot he Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee which then distributes donations to the House races where they’re most needed. The DCCC has been impressive in using the Web and weblogs to win this race.
Again, give if you can.

No joke Ron!!! I just sent another $100 to my Republican, pro-life, pro-Bush, conservative congressman. Thanks for the reminder, Aaron!

Um, wow. Why don’t we all donate to campaigns in states we don’t live? Nevermind that congressional representatives are suppose to represent the constituents in their area/state — not what we think they should.
I realize special interests have made this seem to be a naive notion, but there’s no reason we need to mess up the democratic process more than we already have.
